I have a love affair with Dr. Martens and if we’re being transparent its been a very long affair. I first picked up the Jadon boots a couple of months ago after selling my black 1460s on depop, I then took those Jadon boots on my weekend trip to New Orleans and after walking around town in barely broken in boots I realized those boots were not for the faint at heart so I sold them. I ended up repurchasing a pair of 1460s and taking those to Edinburgh where I realized a little too late they were a size too big and I couldn’t return them. Fast forward to now I parted ways with my too big 1460s and purchased the Jadon X which come up higher on the leg and offer a tad more support AND have an iridescent flare when the sun hits them just right.
These boots are definitely a new favorite and I have a feeling I will be wearing them religiously come spring/early summer with skirts, dresses and maybe I’ll get edgy and wear them with a pair of shorts! I wanted the boots to be the “main event” of this outfit so I paired them with a new pair of high waist wide leg denim which surprisingly I happen to really like with my old faithful striped turtleneck tucked in to make my torso look slimmer than it actually is and I topped it off with my peplum, military green jacket.
This outfit is so easy yet put together that I can envision myself wearing it a couple more times this summer – without the turtleneck of course!
